Our R&D programmes are run jointly across the four group companies and led from Sabadell, Beugen and Dundalk. Every model, every algorithm and every cell ships from a lab into a real customer line — the only place that tells us if the work was good.

Rosepetal Research is the deep-tech engine of AIS Group. The team publishes frontier work on industrial defect-detection models, automated labelling pipelines and real-time inference on edge hardware — and ships every result into production lines across the group.

Where Rosepetal Research builds the perception layer, AIS Vision Automation builds the machine around it. Frontier defect detection
Foundation vision models trained on millions of industrial images and benchmarked across detection, segmentation and classification heads. Validated head-to-head against leading open models on the same dataset.
Automated labeling
AI-assisted annotation pipelines that cut human labelling time by up to 95%. Active learning, SAM-powered masks and weak supervision push the cost of a high-quality dataset down to a fraction of manual work.
Real-time edge inference
Latency-budget engineering for the shop floor: ONNX / TensorRT INT8 quantisation, multi-model serving on shared GPUs, NVIDIA Triton deployments and custom backends for sub-30 ms inference at line speed.
Vision-guided robotics
Tight coupling between perception and motion: 3D guidance, pose estimation and grasp synthesis built on top of standard Cognex, Omron and depth-camera stacks already deployed across the group.
Sustainable production analytics
Production data put to work: false-reject reduction, OEE prediction, energy and waste accounting — turning a quality control system into a sustainability instrument.

Hosted by AIS Scanology. ISO-certified barcode and label verification lab, with full Axicon, Omron and Global Vision suites.

Automation Lab — Dundalk
Hosted by AIS Vision Automation. Robotics integration, validation and pre-deployment testing for regulated automation projects.
